Beckenham is often mentioned on the East Dulwich Forum (in terms of ‘should we move there?’) I’ve just put a post up there to plug this forum. So hope this send a few East Dulwichites over.

We moved from Dulwich 15 years ago and found a beautiful quiet little niche with easy access to town by 3 stations, but missed some of the culture of Dulwich – especially for teens, bus access to town not as good as 176 direct into London, but N3 nightbus now comes from Oxford Street! So, great – and Brixton cool live music not far … Shame no decent jazz or live music venues in Beckenham but perhaps BPP mansion might finally provide something – tho hopefully not on Blackheath mega loud annual scale … more Kenwood classy let’s hope … Bromley notably very bad at providing affordable culture to teens unfortunately … Boris said it was the only borough whereby school kids didn’t know that london museums were free and that they were actually allowed to go in!! Quite sad … let’s change that somehow

Have posted on a few Facebook groups & Balgowan group – sure it will be a matter of time until the database grows.

Do you have a Google Ads account, I do a bit of those for my job as I work in marketing so i think you’all just need to up your bids for certain search terms.

We are only new so trying to improve our SEO so any top tips please feel free to fire over.
Anyway in the mean time please tell all your friends and hopefully we’ll have some good stuff up for sale soon….i might start the ball rolling with some of my shoes!!

Moved from ED to Beckenham 3 years ago, so great idea to create this forum.

Hopefully it can grow as I love the ED for sale section.

One thing I would say is that it doesn’t appear on google when you search of Beckenham Forum – Beckenham Town forum comes up, which isn’t as good for layout.

Thanks for starting this forum and thanks Albertsmum for mentioning it on the East Dulwich Forum – I am still a regular on that site (different user name) despite leaving ED over a year ago. It would be great if this became a fantastic resource just like that one.

The pleasure of living somewhere is enormously increased when you feel part of the community, when you know the people in your town, in your street and next door. We are all so busy these days with work and family and maintaining a home that’s it’s not always easy to get out and meet people face to face. I live in Beckenham and have created this forum in the hope that we can all make connections and share our experiences and knowledge and perhaps make Beckenham a more pleasant place to call home.
