Hi Nick – apologies if you have already done this but have you posted on West Wickham Mums on facebook, or Beckenham & Penge Mums? There are lots of people who may have bits and pieces that the Men In Sheds could use. If you want me to post on your behalf I am happy to – just reply here and let me know where/when the items need to be dropped off or if they can be picked up locally etc.
Anna
The Men in Sheds is a project run by Age UK and they have a building in Penge.
Gentlemen of later years meet to build all sorts of wooden items for the home and garden such as planters, seats, tool sheds etc.
They rely on donated wood and can always use spare woodworking tools or bits and pieces like nails and screws.
They also run a small vegetable garden and welcome seeds or plants for that.
If you are a builder or carpenter and have left over wood (they love old roof joists or cut offs from new ones) then you can donate them by emailing meninshedsinfo@ageukbandg.org.uk
It’s a great cause and they will make beautiful objects from your old wood.

What?
Founded in October 2016, the Beckenham Forum is an online meeting place for the residents of Beckenham to share their knowledge and experiences of life in the area.
Who?
The Beckenham Forum is not a faceless franchise based in California, we are a local couple living in Village Way, Beckenham.
Why?
We created the forum because we believe that being part of a community makes living somewhere much more enjoyable. An online community is something you can use where and when you want to.
