Recently featured in top film critic Mark Kermode’s BBC film blog Kermode Uncut, we’re delighted to be screening a brand new silent film for London on Friday 17 November, ‘LONDON SYMPHONY’ (cert U) – a poetic journey through our capital city – over 300 locations. With live professional musical accompaniment by the COVENT GARDEN SINFONIA, conducted by Ben Palmer – plus Q&A with director Alex Barrett. In our magnificent 400+ seater Performance Hall on our new BIG screen. 4 star reviews from Total Film, Little White Lies and Radio Times and nominated for the Michael Powell award for Best British Film at the Edinburgh Film Festival in June 2017. We’re one of only three places nationally to be screening it with a live musical performance of its original score composed by James McWilliam. This event sold out at its premiere at the Barbican in September 2017 – enjoy a poetic journey through the life of our great capital city, with stunning cinematography and evocative live music. ‘LONDON SYMPHONY’ film trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pENDHytRIWI
