Beckenham mummy – we did the same move last year but haven’t yet got to grips with what Beckenham has to offer for the kids (partly because we spend the weekends ferrying them between activities and parties!). I was v.excited to see this forum, as ED forum was such a useful source of info.
Would you mind listing the cafes/restaurants that you’d recommend for families
Also activities that are good for kids 3-6y
If not too arduous a task?!
Thanks!
We moved from East Dulwich to Beckenham a few years ago and haven’t looked back. I think Beckenham High Street is better than Lordship Lane especially for children. There are a lot more family restaurants. We have more choice of parks and activities for the kids and as you say bigger house and bigger garden for your money. The schools are fantastic too. My husband only discovered Beckenham by accident when he drove through it and I’m so glad he did.

What?
Founded in October 2016, the Beckenham Forum is an online meeting place for the residents of Beckenham to share their knowledge and experiences of life in the area.
Who?
The Beckenham Forum is not a faceless franchise based in California, we are a local couple living in Village Way, Beckenham.
Why?
We created the forum because we believe that being part of a community makes living somewhere much more enjoyable. An online community is something you can use where and when you want to.
