Kent House Station approach road works

Well, both pavements and now the road have been tarmacked up as far as the junction, at least.  I don’t know whether the road will be permanently tarmacked, or whether it’s just replacement of the base and the gravel etc. will be put back on top.  I must remember to ask my friends who live around there.

There are bits of pipe etc arriving. It looks like more than just filling in the potholes that they usually do. Never actually see anyone working on it. Wish something was done to properly tarmac it. It’s a pain to walk to the station and must be terrible on car axles.

I don’t know what’s happening: every now and then they close the road so they can steamroller it back into submission, but whatever this is is clearly different.

As for why it’s not made up, that’s because it’s unadopted. There are quite a few such roads in various bits of Beckenham. The other side of the railway is fine.

Does anyone know what is going on to the road that leads up to Kent House Station?

On a related topic, does anyone know why it isn’t tarmac’d etc. It ruins the suspension when we have to drive down there?
