Dear Forum Members,

Did you know Ethel Florence Reeves?

I am researching my family history and have subscribed to the forum in the hope of tracing anyone who may have known Ethel Florence Reeves or her family members.

Ethel was born 1899 and died 1997. For much of her life she was, I believe, a professional Nanny.

She lived at 25 Churchfield Road with her sister Florence Short and nephew Alan Short.

Relatives surnames include Reeves, Willis and Mortlock

Ethel never married: saying that those to whom she was Nanny were “her children”.

Many of them, she remarked, had remained in contact with her when adults.

Perhaps you or one of your family had Ethel as their Nanny or knew Ethel and her sister ?

I would love to hear from anyone with pertinent information or recollections.
