Tagged: development, planning applications
I know the place (opposite Mind Care, or whatever it’s called – junction with Hayne Road) has unfortunately been an eyesore for some years now, but as I went past the other day I noticed that there’s a planning application to demolish the block and its garages and replace it with a 4-storey block of, I think, 30 flats (what are there currently? I can only see 6 from the frontage, I think).
It’s a bit out of my neck of the woods, but, given that the surrounding buildings appear to be 3-storey and of far lower population density, this might be a matter for concern.
The planning application can be inspected here: https://searchapplications.bromley.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=summary&keyVal=ORXOPMBTFXU00
I haven’t had a thorough look yet, although the quality of the random objections I’ve read has impressed me. It should perhaps also be pointed out that certain neighbours of the site wish to correct the misleading impression that they support the proposals.
I’m a bit confused about when the deadline for comments is: I thought a date in early August was given, although 26th July is also possible. Any objections have to be based on planning considerations and Bromley’s own planning guidelines.
