Angele Lautier is a Beckenham, London based fine artist whose autobiographical work explores the themes of life and time; they cannot exist without each other however they abide in perpetual conflict. She draws her inspiration from the simplest of things: a gesture, an image, a word. Lautier’s conceptual work employs both traditional and innovative techniques where she pushes the boundaries in order to engage her audience both physically and emotionally.
Lautier’s favourite work is undertaking private commissions because she relishes the challenge to realise each piece, behind which there is always a story.
Whilst working on intimate pieces of art, she also enjoys working on proposals for large-scale public commissions. This contrast allows her to design site-specific structures, which are accessible to the public and designed to evolve in harmony with their surrounding elements.
